Following the battle, Papashan returned to Thanalan to continue as the stationmaster.₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪ NANAMO UL NAMO ₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪ With the previous captain defeated, Solkzagyl conceded that the Warrior of Light was the greatest Paladin amongst them. Upon learning that Solkzagyl was in fact still alive, had recovered Oathkeeper and had planned most of the preceeding events in order to restore the light to the blade, he bore witness to the battle between both the Warrior of Light and Constaint in order to determine who was the dominant Paladin, and then between the Warrior and Solkzagyl himself. Upon learning that the investigation into Death's Embrace was becoming increasingly dangerous, Papashan joined the Warrior of Light and Constaint at Falcon's Nest. Papashan, grieving, would share the news of his friend's death with Jenlyns, who would set off for the Dravanian Forelands to assist with the investigation. Papashan encouraged the Warrior of Light to investigate further and learn what he could, hopefully finding the Oathkeeper and avenging Solkzagyl along the way. While visiting Solkzagyl's grave, Papashan and the Warrior of Light rescued a boy named Constaint, who claimed to be Solkzagyl's student, and the bandits who were attacking him were the ones who had killed his master, the Death's Embrace. When the pair headed there, they learned from a man named Hundred Eyes that Solkzagyl had been ambushed and killed by a group of assassins, and that he had buried the Paladin himself. Fearing the worst, he reached out to the Warrior of Light to fill him in on what had been going on, and asked them to search for Solkzagyl in the last place he had sent a missive from: Falcon's Nest. When Solkzagyl, the previous captain of the Sultansworn, contacted his old friend Papashan, telling him that he had found the Oathkeeper, a legendary blade that had been stolen many years ago, Papashan reached out to him offering his assistance, but did not hear anything back. He also delights in taking strolls with Nanamo when she leaves the palace in the guide of "Lady Lilira," himself masquerading as a steward. However, behind his persona of a good-natured elderly man, he continues to secretly offer what aid he can to the Sultansworn. Upon his retirement from active service, Papashan became stationmaster at the Ul'dah Dispatch Yard operated by Amajina & Sons Mineral Concern, a prestigious position as befits a man who has seen sixty-four winters. To the young sultana who had no living family left, he became a second father. When Nanamo came to the throne, he served as her personal guard. A proud man of the Dunesfolk, Papashan once numbered among the Sultansworn, even acting as the right hand of Solkzagyl, the former captain.
